Batman: Arkham Asylum demo release scheduled for Aug. 7th

The consumer demo for the long awaited Batman: Arkham Asylum will be available for the Xbox 360, Playstation3 and Windows live on August 7th, a little more than three weeks before the release of the full game.

The demo begins with Batman and Commissioner Gorder once again returning Joker to Arkham . But soon, the tables are turned and Joker takes over the asylum, setting the worst of the worst on Batman. The demo will give gamers a tast of the fierce FreeFlow combat system as well as the stealth of the Invisible Predator mechanic, all while navigating Arkham Asylum’s Intestive Treatment facility. During the demo, players can unlock character bios and get a sneak peak at some of the villians Batman will encounter during the game, including Harley Quinn, Bane, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, and Scarecrow.

Batman: Arkham Asylum demo will be available on the Xbox Live Marketplace and the Playstation Network. For the Windows LIVE Version, check out www.batmanarkhamasylum.com. The full version of the game will be released in North America on August 25th and in Europe and Australia on August 28th.
