SplashNewsOnine.com has posted the first picture of Seth Rogan as the title character in his latest film, the superhero “epic” The Green Hornet. For those of you who thought he couldn’t pull it off, well, I guess this proves you…

Oh, who am I kidding…this is ridiculous. Of all the fantastic potential comic book adaptations out there, they’re going with Green Hornet? I mean, c’mon! When was the last time anyone even read a comic with him? He’s a guy in a green suit and fedora who runs around with a bad Asian-sterotype sidekick. It worked well as a radio drama in the 1930s and 40s, but seriously? A full length feature film in the 21st Century?

I will have to say, though, Rogan has lost a lot of weight for this role and now has the physique to pull this off, but I just keep going back to my original question…WHY? If you’re going to work that hard to loose weight and get in shape for a superhero movie, why choose Green Hornet?
