All Hallows Read Tradtion
Neil Gaiman and HarperCollins are beginning a fiendishly delightful Halloween tradition, beginning now: All Hallow’s Read. The premise is simple: give a scary story – a wonderful, soul-shivering tale of terror, or a humorous, playful monstrous romp of a read – to someone you love, or someone you like, or someone you’ve never even met, before. Pick up one of your favorite books at a used book store (support your local used books stores, it’ll do you & your community good, but I digress…) or a new book store, and maybe even just leave it lying on a bench at the bus stop; or in the reading room at a hospital or retirement facility. The point, my dear friends, is to spread some spooky words this year, and see what tales may find their way into your head & heart, too.
