Warner Bros. Purchases Midway

Coming Soon: Mortal Kombat vs DCU 2???
As reported by Variety, Warner Bros. has purchsed the majory of Midway Games assests for $33 million. Among the acquistion are the popular Mortal Kombat series, as well as legacy arcade games such as Joust and Spy Hunder.
While Warner Bros. purchased the rights to the Wheelman games, they did not purchase the studio behind them, Newcastle Studios, nor did they purchase the San Diego studios, who created the TNA games. These studios will be shut down in the next two months, unless a buyer comes forward before then.
According to the report, gamers can expect another Mortal Combat/DCU crossover, as well as possible re-imaginings of some of the studios classic titles.
