Ridley Scott to Direct Aliens Prequel
Variety is reporting that director Ridley Scott is returning the the Aliens franchise to direct a prequel to be written by Jon Spaihts. The prequel will take place prior to the original Aliens movie, and marks the first movie in the franchise to be directed by Scott, since the original in 1979.Twentieth Century Fox is hoping the movie will help to keep the Aliens franchise alive. No word on whether Siguourney Weaver will be joining Scott’s return to the franchise.
