Starbuck To Help Jack Bauer Save the World!
Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello is reporting that Katee Sackhoff, formerly Starbuck of Battlestar Galactica, will be joining the cast of 24 for season 8.
According to Ausiello, Sackhoff will play Dana Walsh, a data analyst at the New York City branch of the newly reformed CTU.
The character is said to have a skeleton in her closest, which she’s trying to keep hidden, and that she will be romantically involved another CTU agent played by Freddie Prinze, Jr.
Personally, I’m thrilled with this bit of news. My 24 fix now will also help me gain a small BSG fix as well. And that fact that she’s a Data Analyst means that we’ll see some great interaction with Chloe. Of course, hearing that she has a skeleton in her closest, one has to wonder, will she make it the whole season or are we seeing the next in a long line of illustrious CTU moles?

This is great news – I can’t believe they found a way to mash BSG and 24 – Hope someone in LA got an extra gold star for this one! She balances Chloe’s dysfunction nicely – I bet they’ll be instant BFF’s!
This last season it seemed like Jack was forming a relationship with Agent Walker, but I like the thought of him and Starbuck better – they would make beautiful, but dangerous babies together…
Though it lagged a little there a few seasons back, I think they’ve done a good job keeping 24 fresh…or maybe it’s just Jack.
Eh…I don’t think so. I like Jack with Rene (Agent Walker) better. Then again, I haven’t seen this new character in action, but still…Jack and Rene would make some seriously beautiful but oh so deadly babies too!
